Keeping Up With the Jetsons

Technology and education.....education and technology. Put together any way, it seems only natural that they be complimentary. At least that's what the members of Mesa Community College's Faculty and Professional Learning Community: New Technology believe.

This semester, group members have set out to:

• Choose a new technology of our own individual interest to 'play with' with the intention of implementing it into our classroom in the future

Following a 5 month hiatus from blogging, Ive decided to hop back on the wagon and explore it as my new technology. Yes, Ive done it before but hopefully this community will encourage me to post more religiously.

• Study various new technologies and furthermore, how they can be implemented effectively to enhance teaching and learning
  

We have committed to discussing/experimenting with wikis, blogging, vlogs (YouTube), podcasting, and virtual worlds (Second Life).

• Design an individual project/lesson planning utilizing new technologies in the classroom next semester
